Additional Information
With this connection you place the plate on the bed of the truck/trailer. If you wish to secure your ramps, there are three different ways you can do this:
1. Tongue - The "tongue" is an aluminium plate, 10mm thick and 200mm long. This sits between the tailgate and the bed and prevents the ramps pulling away from the back of the truck if the machine spins.
(Please note that the ramps do not rest on the tailgate and they are purely for safety)
2. Pin/Bolt - There is a hole in the top of the ramp plate (as standard) which means that you can put a pin/bolt down through the ramp and into the bed of your truck to secure the ramps.
3. Chain/Strap - On the underneath of the ramps, approx. 1ft down from the top end of the ramps, there is a connection point you can attach a chain or ratchet strap to, to tie the ramps back to the truck/trailer.
